Amsterdam, March 8, 2022 – Armin van Buuren’s ASOT1000 show in Krakow on Saturday, March 12 will continue under the name #danceforukraine. During the evening, money will be raised to help the thousands of Ukrainians seeking safety in neighboring Poland. Proceeds from the show will go directly to the Polish Red Cross and trance fans worldwide can help by donating via astateoftrance.com/donate. The 9-hour #danceforukraine show can be followed via a global livestream.

“I am devastated by all the horrific events that are currently taking place in Ukraine. With our upcoming ASOT1000 show in Poland, we want to do everything we can to help the victims of the conflict. Therefore, we have decided to focus on raising money together with the people of Krakow on March 12. Proceeds and donations from the event will go directly to the Polish Red Cross so that refugees can continue to receive the essential assistance they need. I hope the whole trance community will come together and we will dance together for the good cause #danceforukraine,” said Armin van Buuren.

Proceeds and donations will go a long way in supporting the Red Cross and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Thousands of refugees have already crossed the Ukrainian border into Poland, just 250 km from the event in Krakow, and that number will rise to well into the millions in the coming days.

Livestream
Trance fans attending #danceforukraine or watching the 9-hour livestream can expect DJ sets from Ferry Corsten, Ilan Bluestone, ReOrder presents RRDR, Robbie Seed, Ruben de Ronde, Solarstone, Vini Vici and the ASOT frontman himself, Armin Van Buuren. While the trance DJs take the stage, fans from around the world can donate to the charity via a special donation page – set up through local donation platform siepomaga.pl. The #danceforukraine stream can be viewed on Facebook, YouTube and Twitch from 19:00 to 04:00 CET.
The Red Cross
ASOT organizer ALDA is also hosting a special Live Aid event this Saturday, together with the Romanian Red Cross, at the National Arena in Bucharest. During ‘WE ARE ONE’ a selection of great local and international artists will take the stage for more than 8 hours of live music, also in the name of charity.

Through the official Red Cross events, festival organizer ALDA hopes to make a significant difference to those affected by the challenging situation people face in Ukraine. “We want to use the connecting power of music to raise as much money as possible for charity. Turning our helplessness into actual help. With #danceforukraine in Poland and WE ARE ONE in Romania, we hope to provide as much support as possible to the thousands of Ukrainian refugees through the Red Cross.” said Allan Hardenberg, Director and Co-Founder of ALDA.
