Earlier this year, global bodywear brand sloggi unveiled its latest collaboration with fashion and media icon 032c, for which a compact 11-piece collection of gender equal comfort wear was designed. Now it’s the final stretch, as the launch of the collection is imminent.

The limited collection is designed by 032c Readytowear Creative Director Maria Koch, who focused on essential, elevated basics that embody the sloggi ethos of comfort and innovation. The creative vision for the collection is summarized in an adage: “Limit everything to the bare essentials. But don’t remove the poetry.“

As in January, the two brands have had a large community around them, getting some first impressions at Pitti Uomo. These include the following content creators, who support and present the collaboration on their channels:

·      Caro Daur

·      Pip Millett

·      Freja Kirk

·      Manu Rios

In a nature-inspired colour palette, the collection combines silhouettes for all body types with a smooth fabric structure. The collaboration is incorporating clean cotton trims at the waist, at the top of a hoodie or in a stitched outline of sturdy rib that gives shape to the strong cotton. Orthogonal sweatshirts, T-shirts, a turtleneck, a hoodie and wide and tighter sweatpants are cut to fit cosy and enhance the feeling of safety. A comfortable poncho rounds off the collection. Each garment features a reflective embroidered logo of the collaboration and a woven label.

The impetus for the collaboration between 032c and sloggi came at a time when comfort and fashion were being redefined around the world. The last few years have shaped fashion and also inspired sloggi, the pioneer of comfortable bodywear, to expand its range with a new clothing category. With 032c and Maria Koch, as creative lead, the ideal start for the loungewear sector was created. A new step for the Swiss brand, accompanied by the Berlin-based label.

Paul Gautier, Head of Brands at sloggi’s head company Triumph Group, comments: “At sloggi we have always been obsessed with comfort. When loungewear became the working-from-home standard, the world suddenly came around to our way of thinking – and now that they’ve tried comfort, they don’t want to give it up. Maria and her team at 032c are as obsessed with culture as we are with comfort, and we couldn’t be happier to work with the talented team at 032c to bring our two worlds together.“

For the official launch on September 9th, 2022, pop-up shops will open their doors worldwide, where the collection can be purchased in person. All styles will also be available on
